Morocco head coach Walid Regragui expressed deep gratitude towards Paris Saint-Germain for allowing Achraf Hakimi to join the national team well ahead of schedule for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025.
“Let me say thanks to Paris Saint-Germain. If Hakimi is back today, it’s thanks to them,” said Regragui.
He highlighted how rare such a gesture is in international football, adding, “There’s not even one single club in the world that was gonna let us have Hakimi 15 days before the AFCON.”
The coach concluded by calling PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi “a gentleman” for the club’s cooperation and respect for the national team’s preparation.
